Anxi Tie Guan Yin is a personal favorite tea of mine. Its smooth drinkability and lasting flavor makes this a tea that can be enjoyed anytime.
A lot of the Tie Guan Yin you see on the market, Western and Chinese, are very similar. Bright, floral and sweet, but not much else.
I have made numerous trips to a few of the villages in Anxi including Gande, Long Juan and Jian Duo in search of a Tie Guan Yin that is far above the rest.
While my search isn’t done I have found a few Tie Guan Yins that break from the monotoned oolongs that flood the market. All The Tie Guan Yins offered here give you a flavor note or a taste profile that makes it stand out, something unique. I hope by tasting these teas you begin to see just how unique and awesome Tie Guan Yin can be.

Spring Gande Tie Guan Yin.
This light Tie Guan Yin is fresh and floral but has a confident sour sensation and milky body that yield to a complex and balanced juxtaposition of flavors.
